Our tutors work with students at varying levels of English acquisition. Some students require starting from the very beginning, with the alphabet and letter sounds, while others have had some exposure to English and are looking to expand their already broad vocabulary or refine their grammar.
We have students ready to connect with local volunteers in many capacities. You have the option of attending our weekly conversation classes held throughout the county or scheduling time to meet with your student one-on-one for more personalized learning. Some partners prefer to work on subject matter and structure their meetings like a class, while others treat their encounters as conversations and discuss current events. We also have tutors who specialize in training adults to take the General Education Development (GED) Test. Whatever your desire as a teacher, there is a student for you.
