Adult Basic Education
Pinellas County Schools’ adult high schools and community schools offer a variety of classes from GED preparation to computer literacy.? Many career and technical courses are also offered at adult high schools and community schools. In addition, day and evening classes are held at locations around the county including worksites, community agencies, nursing homes, condominiums, and recreation centers. There are six adult learning centers strategically located in Pinellas County where classes are offered.?

Pinellas County Schools English as a Second Language Program – ESOL
A program to help adults speak, write and read English.

This program aids in meeting requirements of the Immigration and Naturalization Act. ESOL classes focus on English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Citizenship is also available to help students succeed and successfully adjust to the new life and culture of America. For students who cannot attend traditional classes, Pinellas County Schools also offers Online ESOL classes that students can take from home. St. Petersburg College GED Program

Pinellas County Adult Education operates GED classes on four SPC Campuses?Clearwater Campus, Gibbs/St. Petersburg Campus, Seminole Campus, and Tarpon Springs Campus. The SPC GED classes provide students ages 16 and older who wish to enroll in SPC college classes to study on campus in preparation for the Official GED Examination. Classes are self paced, and schedules are flexible. Eligible students must have average or above academic skills in all areas.
